I support organisations in the Creative and Cultural Industries through research and knowledge sharing for the evaluation and implementation of festivals, events and programmes to foster best practices in arts, culture and entertainment.
About Me
I’m Kearn Christopher, a Kreative Consultant and Early Career Researcher from Trinidad and Tobago, based in the United Kingdom. I’m a PhD Candidate in Performance and Cultural Industries, researching the stakeholder power dynamics within Trinidad’s Carnival and its impact on what the festival looks and feels like. I bring my experience from working in various roles in the creative and cultural industries to inform my research approaches and the knowledge from academia to identify the important people-centred matters for arts, culture and entertainment organisations.
Experience & Education
My experience in this sector over the past decade has been employed, contracted and volunteer work. It spans my areas of interest such as carnivals, festivals, events and broadcast and online media.

I first started my career in radio and television news presenting and reporting. It's allowed me to be confident with public speaking and hosting, copyediting and proofreading for digital media, information gathering and media production.

Experienced working for carnival organisations that are government-funded, private sector and non-profit in Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica and the United Kingdom. This has shaped my perspective to have a global outlook on approaches to festival work and research. My roles have included business operations, customer and media relations, research and writing, seminar and workshop planning.
